Today I woke up feeling fat…ughh

Yesterday was a very stressful day for me. I have been dealing with something personal that has been bringing me down a little bit.

The feelings caused me to feel depressed, stressed and bitter.

Even though I know everything is going to be fine, I woke up exhausted and… I felt fat.

I felt so bad about myself that I snapped at Jimmy at work.

When he confronted me about it I told him I wasn’t feeling myself or good about my body today.

He told me to go do the circuit (we had you guys do Monday night).

He said, “ When you feel fat or bad about yourself you have 2 choices.”

  1. You can let it ruin your day.
  2. You can do something about it!

Ya know sometimes I get so lost and stuck on how I’m feeling. I don’t even try to do anything about it. I just sulk and let things ruin my day.

Can you relate?

We are on a different journey with different pains. Some people hide their hurt well while others don’t. However we all have good and bad days.

We all have days where we wake up feeling fat. What do you do when you wake up feeling fat (ugly or depressed)?

Here’s one simple thing you can do if ever feeling fat, ugly or depressed:

Run through your quick 2 min home exercise routine, go for a run, or simply do something, anything! Just don’t sit and dwell on the feelings.

It doesn’t have to take long. However the benefits are very rewarding. It can completely change the way you feel about yourself and change your whole day.

This is what the research studies prove. The National Center for Biotechnology published an article proving this. There are many studies that have examined the efficacy of exercise to reduce symptoms of depression, and the overwhelming majority of these studies have described a positive benefit associated with exercise involvement. 

Exercise has been compared with psychotherapy in the treatment of depression, with results indicating that exercise is just as effective as psychotherapy in alleviating symptoms of depression.

I just finished up an exercise routine myself and I feel so much better. I feel skinner. I feel happier. Which isn’t only good for me but Jimmy too… lol
